President Biden laid out his budget plan to union workers in Philadelphia Thursday. He says his proposed Medicare price negotiations will save 160 billion dollars. The budget also includes a new billionaire tax, an increase in the tax for corporate stock buybacks, and an increase in the Medicare tax for those making more than $400,000 a year. Republicans in Congress say this budge is dead on arrival.

College basketball tournament week saw the top four seeds in the ACC Tournament through to tonight’s semifinals. Miami faces Duke, and Virginia takes on Clemson tonight.

In the Big Ten, Michigan was eliminated by Rutgers Thursday, 62-to-50. Today’s quarterfinals have Purdue against Rutgers, Michigan State facing Ohio State, Penn State against Northwestern, and Indiana facing Maryland.

High school regional action tomorrow includes Penn against Chesterton, and Mishawaka facing Hammond Central in Michigan City. Wins by Penn and Mishawaka would pit them against each other for the regional title. Hear those games tomorrow starting at 1:30 on 96-1 the Ton.

NBA: The Pacers downed Houston 134-125 in Indy. The Detroit Pistons lost at home to Charlotte, 113-103.

In hockey, the Chicago Blackhawks play at Florida tonight. The puck drops at 7:00pm.
